Around 50 participants from across Europe joined an excursion during the Circular Carbon Economy Conference to explore practical approaches to circular carbon systems. A highlight of the day was the visit to the ReFarm Lighthouse Farm Hof Tolle, where participants learned how agroforestry, climate farming, and other nature-based solutions are integrated into everyday farming practices. The excursion also included visits to the University of Kassel’s TechLab, showcasing biomass conversion into biochar, and to a regional biochar production facility, demonstrating how circular carbon solutions can be implemented from research to practical application.
